Men’s embroidered western shirts are the heart of this collection: floral, diamond and horseshoe embroidery on black, white, cream and brown shirts, many of them from The American West. These are the shirts to reach for when you want the shirt to be the focus of the outfit.

The graphic tees in this collection, such as the Buck Wild rodeo tee and the Country Boy tees, are grouped with the rest of our men’s western t-shirts.

Contrast or Tonal: Choosing Your Embroidery

Contrast embroidery uses thread in a different color from the shirt, such as cream or red on black, navy on cream, or ivory on brown. It reads from across the room and suits rodeos, concerts and the dance floor. Tonal embroidery keeps the thread close to the shirt color, like the black tonal long sleeve, so the detail shows up close without being loud. That makes it easier to wear to dinner or a dressier event.

Look at where the embroidery sits. Yokes, chest pockets and cuffs are the traditional spots on a western shirt, and the product photos show the placement on each one. If you like pattern but want something lighter for summer, the half sleeve prints are a good alternative.

How to Wear and Care for an Embroidered Shirt

Let the shirt do the talking. Pair it with plain dark men’s western jeans, a belt from men’s western belts and a buckle from our buckles, then add men’s cowboy boots and a hat from felt cowboy hats. A vest works over a long sleeve as long as the yoke embroidery still shows.

To protect the stitching, follow the care label, fasten the snaps, turn the shirt inside out before washing and avoid ironing directly over the embroidery.

Sizing differs between brands, so check the size options on each product page. For plain colors, denim and more brands, see all men’s western shirts, or browse all men’s clothing.
