How to Choose Men’s Western Boots
Start with the toe. Square toe boots give the forefoot the most room, a round toe is the traditional shape, and a cutter toe has a sleeker profile. Then pick the leather. Smooth leather is the easiest to keep up, and roughout wears its nap on the outside. Full quill ostrich has a raised quill pattern. Python and pirarucu have natural scale patterns, so every pair looks a little different.
Sizing and Fit
Check our size guide before you order. A new boot should feel snug across the instep with room to move your toes, and a little heel slip is normal until the sole breaks in. If you are between sizes, call us or get fitted in either store.
Men’s cowboy boots here start at $129.

Are the exotic boots real exotic leather?
Boots listed as genuine ostrich, python, pirarucu or crocodile are described that way on their product pages. A style described as croc-textured is textured leather. The product title and description tell you which is which.
How do I care for leather cowboy boots?
Scout Mink Oil is a leather conditioner and waterproofing paste. Roughout, suede and exotic skins need products made for those leathers. See hat and boot care.
